At a width of 50 inches when fully extended, the reduced-tail-swing Zaxis 17U-2 excavator offers numerous increased specifications over the predecessor EX17U model.

At a width of 50 inches when fully extended, the reduced-tail-swing Zaxis 17U-2 excavator offers numerous increased specifications over the predecessor EX17U model. In its standard configuration, net power is up from 12.3 to 14.6 horsepower; operating weight increases from 3,814 to 4,173 pounds; and maximum lifting capacity over the front is up from 864 to 2,158 pounds. Maximum digging reach remains the same at 12 feet 10 inches, while maximum digging depth increases by 1 inch to 7 feet 1 inch.
