A high-tonnage pipe-bursting system designed for use in water- and sewer-pipe replacement, the HammerHead HydroBurst HB125 features rod string with a rotation ability that allows it to "drill" through pipe collapses when setting up a burst. Hydraulic leveling jacks keep the unit on center with the host pipe and can be activated at any time during the burst without having to stop and re-shore the unit. The HB125 generates 800 foot-pounds of torque, 20 tons of thrust, and can replace lines ranging in diameter from 4 to 20 inches. Estimated list price: $145,000.
