The DanaSmartWave system accurately measures tire pressure and temperature, communicating tire information wirelessly. Robust sensors are mounted on the wheel rim inside the tire to protect them from damage or theft. The system communicates tire information to the vehicle's data bus so it can be displayed on original-equipment monitors or communicated off-board via telematic or other data exchanges. It can also be displayed by a simple dash-mounted gauge. Maintaining proper tire inflation pressure improves vehicle safety and helps fleets maximize fuel economy and tire life.
