BigRentz Offers $10K to Trade School Students

June 20, 2019

BigRentz, an online equipment rental marketplace, is offering a $5,000 scholarship to two students to help cover educational expenses toward attending a vocational trade school. The scholarship is open to high school seniors currently enrolled in trade school.

Only 11 percent of young Americans’ think training in trade schools can lead to high-paying jobs. However, trainingin the trades often guarantees a job in the industry due to the specialized learning, direct skills, and growing demand for skilled labor.

“Falling enrollment in trade schools has severely impacted the widening skills gap in the construction industry. We want to encourage more young adults to see the advantages of a trade school and be trained for jobs that are in high demand,” Jim Arabia, VP, said in a press release. “We also want to challenge the stereotypes that discourage people from pursuing a viable trade.”

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is August 5 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Click here for eligibility and application details.
