Ameren Corp. plans to invest $2.2 billion in federal transmission projects over the next five years, ending in 2017, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
The largest planned investment is the $1.1 billion Illinois Rivers project, which would see the construction of a high-voltage transmission line across the state of Illinois.
