No compaction is required when The Shoe clears a trench for repaving, because it cuts through the soil, rather than scarifying, leaving you with a trench that’s ready to pave in a single pass. That means no more tamping. The makers claim contractors have prepared trench for permanent repaving nine times faster than trenching with a backhoe. The Shoe will excavate 12 inches deep, and can be custom ordered for deeper cuts. Five standard widths include – 12 inches, 18 inches, 24 inches, 36 inches, and 48 inches. Custom sizes can be ordered. The Shoe mounts on any general purpose or 4-in-one loader bucket easily, tightening into place with a wrench in just a few minutes.
