Rivian Cuts Output Projection

March 11, 2022

Rivian said supply chain constraints will limit it to 25,000 EVs produced in 2022, half of what it has the capacity to manufacture.

In its Q4 2021 report, the company also reported a net loss of $2.461 billion for the quarter compared to a loss of $353 million in Q4 2020. It said the net loss was driven by an increase of total operating expenses to $2.071 billion from $353 million in 2020.

The electric truck manufacturer delivered 909 vehicles in the quarter with total revenues of $54 million. For the fiscal year, Rivian delivered 920 EVs for revenue of $55 million.
