Concrete Masonry Lab Earns Accreditation

Sept. 28, 2010

The International Accreditation Service (IAS) has fully accredited the National Concrete Masonry Association's (NCMA) research and development laboratory as meeting International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

The NCMA laboratory's testing helps substantiate the technical competence of concrete masonry products.

The new accreditation affirms that the NMCA laboratory's procedures meet international standards. It also enables NMCA test results to be recognized by the International Code Council Evaluation Service (ICC-ES).

That recognition is important to developers of new concrete masonry systems because ICC-ES approval is crucial to the introduction, approval and use of new building materials.
