Extend

Hooking behind a standard half-ton pickup truck, van or any light-duty towing vehicle, the TMX mini-excavator from Extend Manufacturing can be moved from site to site without a trailer or CDL license at highway speeds up to 55 miles per hour. On site, the "towable" mini-excavator uses zero-turn technology common to lawn mowers, as compared to conventional tracks. The excavator weighs within the 1.5-ton class, but offers claimed digging depth of 8 feet, digging force of 6,600 pounds, loading height of 7 feet 2 inches and swing radius of 140 degrees. Gas- and diesel-powered versions are available; a 72-inch, four-way blade provides backfilling and grading capabilities.
