Electric line includes a mini-excavator, wheel loader, and tracked carrier.

Yanmar has unveiled a fully electric SV17e mini excavator, V8e wheel loader, and a C08e tracked carrier to European markets.

The new electric range matches the output of Yanmar's internal combustion engine (ICE) compact equipment, ensuring integration into a wide scope of applications, according to the company.

SV17e mini excavator

The SV17e mini-excavator has a maximum digging depth of 2.62 meters. Digging force is 9.9 kN and 8.9 kN from its short and long arms, respectively.

The excavator's 1,955 kg operating weight is powered by a 18.3 kWh battery. Features include two operating modes to optimize battery life and adapt to varying project demands.

The SV17e measures 2.33 meters in height and has a variable width of 0.98 to 1.32 meters. Its nearly silent operation minimizes auditory disturbance, enhancing the comfort for operators and making it suitable for working indoors, as well as in environmentally sensitive areas, according to the company.

Additional features include an LCD interface, and a fast charger for quick replenishment with a slow charging time of approximately 4 hours and a fast charging time of about 2 hours.

V8e wheel loader

The new V8e wheel loader has a bucket volume between 0.8 and 1.2 cubic meters and with an operating weight of 4,500 kg.

The unit boasts four working modes (Bucket, Fork, Eco, Power) to fit the operator’s needs. It is coupled with a high-capacity 39.9 kWh battery provides up to 4.2 hours of continuous operation in bucket mode.

The loader is equipped with a synchronous motor offering 22 kW rated and 30 kW peak power, enhancing its efficiency in various operations, according to the company. The V8e also comes with best-in-class flexibility offering a full working day autonomy, and additional onboard charging power.

The V8e features a cabin with an adjustable armrest and steering column, heated seat, and LED headlights and LED work lights for optimal visibility, according to the company.

For charging, the unit also comes with an on-board, 11 kW fast charger and includes the most common adapters, allowing for integration into existing power infrastructures.

C08e tracked carrier

Yanmar’s C08e tracked carrier's haul body is capable of carrying between 0.34 to 0.42 cubic meters.

With an operating weight of 730-880 kg, it combines a high-performance electric motor that provides 5.5 kW rated and 6.5 kW peak power, with a hydrostatic transmission to ensure smooth handling and operation on inclinations up to 20 degrees, according to the company.

The vehicle operates on a 10.4 kWh battery, featuring selectable working modes (Eco performance and High performance) to optimize energy use and extend battery life up to three hours.

For charging, the C08e uses a standard 3.3 kW off-board charger, compatible with a P17 blue plug for grid connection and a REMA socket for direct machine linkage, which fully recharges the battery from 20% to 80% capacity in 3.5 hours.
