YanmarFeaturing a new universal boom design with sidewalls 1.5 times thicker than on predecessor models, Yanmar recently introduced "true" zero-tail-swing mini-excavators to compete in the 6,300- and 7,700-pound weight classes. The Vi027-5 and Vi035-5 models combine increased breakout forces with new dig depths of 9 feet 6 inches and 11 feet 4 inches, respectively. In addition to foot controls, a PTO switch is now mounted on the wrist control.

In total, Yanmar offers a line of 10 mini- and mid-size excavators, from the track-width-adjustable SV08 Super Mini at 2,348 pounds to the SV100 at 20,950 pounds.
