Designed for stability and heavy lifting, Volvo's EW230C wheeled excavator features a more robust platform. With a light counterweight, it weighs between 21.6 and 24.3 tons, depending on machine configuration. A choice of 18-foot-8-inch mono or two-piece boom is available. Powered by a Volvo diesel engine, it develops 167 net horsepower at 2,000 rpm. Maximum digging reach and depth are 34 feet 6 inches and 22 feet 3 inches, respectively.
