Antenna can serve as a rover or as a base station for other GNSS operations.

The Trimble R780 GNSS Smart Antenna is a construction site positioning tool that can serve as a GNSS rover or as a base station for other GNSS operations including machine control.

Equipped with the Trimble Maxwell 7 GNSS ASIC chip, the R780 enables greater performance in challenging GNSS environments blocked sky, multi-path, or degraded signal and provides more channels for future constellation changes, according to the company.

Using the R780 with Trimble Siteworks software allows operators to capture accurate points while standing, walking or driving the site, without leveling the pole.

Using the R780 with Trimble FieldLink software simplifies underground and long-distance layout projects as well as QA/QC and field positioning tasks, while streamlining office to field workflows, according to the company.
