The KL40000NG Barrier Lift from Kenco is designed to handle concrete median barrier walls of up to 40,000 pounds without requiring any hydraulic hookups.
A properly rated sling and clevis assembly is needed to attach the unit for operation. The barrier lift has a 6- to 12-inch gripping range for a variety of top wall widths and automatically closes to grab the wall and won’t release until the wall is set firmly into position, Kenco says. Four 6 x 36-inch elastomer pads give the lift 864 square inches of surface contact. Optional self-aligning guides are available.
