Harsh or Tender, No Problem

With a wide range of amplitude/centrifugal-force settings, Caterpillar's CB-434D asphalt compactor is designed for use on a variety of mat depths and materials, whether a harsh Superpave or a tender Marshall mix. The standard vibratory system has five, manually adjustable amplitude settings. An optional dual-amplitude system, with two frequencies (4,200 and 3,200 vpm), is controlled from the operator's console. Among other new features are automatic speed control with impact-spacing indicator and refined operator's station. Estimated list prices: $115,400 to $127,200.
