Models 950 and 1050 Deere dozers are now available in P Tier versions. The two crawler dozers replace the K series versions.
The 354-horsepower Deere 1050 P Tier is the largest dozer in the lineup, with an operating weight range of 94,000 pounds to 94,590 pounds. The engine is a “revamped” JD14 diesel that replaces the unit used in the 1050K and uses a single canister in the aftertreatment system to eliminate the need for a diesel particulate filter (DPF). The redesigned cooling system has a single plant layout with the coolers positioned side by side rather than stacked.
The dozer has and upgraded tag link and blade design that brings the blade 10 inches closer to the frame than on the predecessor 1050K. Inverted tilt and pitch cylinders were also added, which when combined with the lowered hood and larger front window help improve operator visibility to the blade. The repositioning of the 168-inch blade, paired with double-bogie undercarriage, provides a more balanced machine and a clearer view of the blade corners.

The Deere 950 P Tier has a horsepower range of 265 to 280; operating weights range from 29,606 pounds to 33, 431 pounds. It carries a Power-Angle-Tilt (PAT) blade and features SmartGrade integrated mastless 3D grade control.

P Tier dozers are equipped with standard LEDs, optional cold-weather hydraulic lines, and a tilt-up cab for easy serviceability access under the cab.
The Operator Presence System ensures that an operator is present in the seat of the cab, with the seat belt fastened, before the park break can be released. The P Tier system also integrates the park brake switch into the system status monitor, eliminating the need for traditional park lock levers.
Both models feature an updated cab with new ergonomic controls, neutral counter rotate, and an integrated forward neutral reverse switch. An optional premium heated and ventilated seat is available, which is air-suspended with adjustment controls.
