More than 20 U.S., Canadian and worldwide trade associations, as well as U.S. state and federal government agencies, are lending their support to the World of Asphalt 2007 Show and Conference. The participation enhances the networking, exhibits and educational opportunities available at the World of Asphalt to be held March 19–22, 2007, at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) are assisting in development of the Asphalt Pavement Alliance's (APA) Asphalt Pavement Conference being held at World of Asphalt. "HMA Construction — Moving Forward" is the theme of the APA conference. In addition, the Georgia Department of Transportation is involved in planning the APA conference along with the APA alliance partners, The Asphalt Institute (AI), National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) and state asphalt pavement associations. The training program is sponsored by NAPA with the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association (AEMA), Asphalt Recycling and Reclaiming Association (ARRA) and International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA). The World of Asphalt education has expanded for the 2007 show with certification courses being conducted by industry and government groups such as the Traffic Control Technician Course of the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) and the OSHA 10-Hour Course for Construction Workers, a safety course developed by the U.S. Department of Labor. Plus, the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) is opening its doors to World of Asphalt 2007 attendees for a special educational tour in conjunction with the show. A complete list of groups in the World of Asphalt 2007 "supporting organization program," as well as the show's education line-up, is online at
