The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) recently received a Perpetual Pavement Award from the Asphalt Pavement Alliance for the outstanding 35-year performance of U.S. Highway 41 in Oconto and Brown counties.

The pavement is one of only 11 to receive the award in 2008, and one of only 50 to earn the award since it was instituted in 2002.

The award is given to owners of pavements that are at least 35 years old, have never had a structural failure, and have an average resurfacing interval of at least 13 years.
