Waste and Wonder

American Water Works says 44 percent of America's water infrastructure is considered poor, very poor, or life elapsed. Water pipes made of wood, clay or corroded metal -  often over 100 years old - need repair but local budget and political issues are allowed to dam up the process.

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) says 40 out of 50 state water managers believe they will have some type of water supply issues over the next 10 years.
