Volvo Q2 Revenue Increases 5%

Second quarter revenues rose five percent for Volvo Construction Equipment, with revenue in North America increasing 29.9 percent driven by favorable currency and an improved product mix, according to RER Mag.

Volvo CE’s 29.9 percent revenue increase in North America and 4.8-percent hike in Asia, outweighed the 31 percent sales tumble in South America.

Efficiency measures impacted Volvo CE’s improved second quarter performance. Volvo posted its best profit margin in the past three years, even though deliveries decreased by 24 percent in the second quarter, primarily driven by lower demand in China and Russia, impacting both the Volvo and SDLG brands, reports RER.
