Volvo Opens New Distribution Center in Mississippi

Volvo Group opened its new 1-million-square-foot Central Distribution Center, a truck parts depot in Byhalia, Mississippi, reports Commercial Appeal.

Volvo closed its regional parts depot in Memphis and consolidated it into the larger building located in Marshall County, Mississippi.

The new distribution center in Byhalia is the largest in North America and will supply six regional parts depots in the U.S. and 2,000 dealers throughout the continent.

The center, which was a wheat field as recently as 2013, was designed to have a campus feel and features a basketball court, gym and walking trails, according to Commercial Appeal.
