Volvo CE Site Becomes Carbon Neutral

Volvo Construction Equipment’s Braäs, Sweden factory has become carbon neutral, Rental Equipment Register reports.

According to Volvo, the 484,376-square-foot facility that is responsible for the design and manufacture of articulated haulers is the first construction equipment factory in the world to be powered by renewable energy.

Some of the alterations the company made include diesel forklifts that were replaced with electric battery models and liquefied petroleum gas burners that were replaced with electrical heating.
