Volvo CE Earns Gold Status in AEM Campaign

Volvo CE has reached Gold status in the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) I Make America campaign.

Gold-level supporters of the campaign are recognized for benchmarks achieved in creating jobs and improving American manufacturing policies. Benchmarks can include significant employee involvement; outreach to state, local and federal legislators; promoting campaign sign-ups at trade shows and with allied trade associations; and production of A Day in American Life video telling the story of how their companies, employees and communities "make America."

"Volvo CE’s active engagement with their elected officials and the policies that affect the equipment manufacturing business has been critical to the success of I Make America," said Dennis Slater, president of AEM. "We congratulate Volvo CE on their success achieving gold level status and look forward to their crucial support on future advocacy efforts."

The I Make America campaign was launched in September 2010 and has enlisted the support of more than 26,000 people nationwide, AEM’s 850-plus member companies and other industry organizations.
