Kiewit Infrastructure West makes progress at the Lake Oroville Spillway
California's Department of Water Resources is doing some nice update videos on the progress at the Lake Oroville Spillway. The aging 770-foot Oroville Dam, the tallest dam in the U.S., was damaged in February when California experienced record rain.
In June, the project's contractor Kiewit Infrastructure West, adjusted its 10-hour workshifts to accomodate a different environmental challenge - heat. Shifts now start at 5am and at 8pm to avoid crews working during the hottest part of the day.
