Late Wednesday afternoon, a 25-year old construction worker was pinned under the house he had been working on collapsed around him.
The house in Susquehanna Township, Pennsylvania, had been vacant for some time and was condemned 10 years ago. It was undergoing a total rehab at the time of the accident.
The Susquehanna Township Fire Chief George Drees said, "They heard it cracking, they heard it start to fail, they started running, and he wasn't quick enough."
The worker was taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
