The National Association of Tower Erectors has released a new video on precautions and protocols for tower workers who climb at night.
Part of the association's "Climber Connection" campaign, the video covers preparedness, hazards and lighting strategies.
“In the communications tower industry, performing work at night is often required by our customers and the safety recommendations offered in this video can help all tower climbers perform night-time work in a safe and efficient manner,” Clayton Armstrong, a tower top hand with Tri State Tower in Marion, Iowa.
The association is asking climbers and other stakeholders to post the video on social media websites using #ClimberConnection. The Climber Connection campaign advocates safe practices for tower workers.
