Vermeer RT950 utility trencher tractor

Available as a center-mount option for the RT950 utility trencher tractor or the RTX1250 quad-track or rubber-tired tractors, Vermeer’s new hydrostatic wide-cut rockwheel attachment is designed to cut up to a 12-inch-wide trench up to 40 inches deep in one pass. Changeable segment pockets offer the flexibility to cut trenches ranging in width from 4 inches up. The segments are available in either a general-duty pattern style for use in soft rock, asphalt and compacted soils or an aggressive-duty pattern style for concrete and hard-rock applications. By powering the 84-inch-diameter cutter wheel hydrostatically, the potential for gearbox failures is eliminated, says Vermeer.
