Tweet/Garot Works 4.5 Million Hours Without Lost-Time Accident

Tweet/Garot Mechanical, Green Bay, WI, has worked 4.5 million hours without a lost-time accident.

The safety milestone, reached in January, represents 6-1/2 years of safe work that began in June 2002.

Tweet/Garot's safety achievements have received commendations from the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin (AGC) for 12 consecutive years and from the Wisconsin Safety Council for 13 years.

The company has also received continual recognition from the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) and the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) for having an OSHA incident rate significantly below the industry average.

CEO/President Tim Howald, Director of Risk Management Chris Warren, and Safety Director Gabe Gutenberger attribute Tweet/Garot's safety success to the company's Zero Injury program and the dedication of all the company's employees.

Tweet/Garot Mechanical has signed a voluntary partnership with the Wisconsin Paper Council (WPC) and OSHA. The partnership includes 16 hours of awareness training and covers 20 safety topics for Tweet/Garot employees who work on paper-mills.
