Tishman's MGM Springfield Casino Project Becomes Working Classroom

October 3, 2016

Construction students at Springfield, Massachusetts Roger L. Putnam Vocational Technical Academy will get some real-world training and experience at the site of the $950 million MGM Springfield casino under an agreement between the school and Tishman Construction signed last Friday.

"We are going to extend the classroom into the construction site and make it a laboratory for our students," said David M. Cruise, president and CEO of the Regional Employment Board of Hampden County. "This is a great way to prepare our students for jobs, jobs that are in demand right now."
