Terex Roadbuilding Restarting Truck Assembly Line

August 13, 2012

Terex Roadbuilding is restarting its new truck assembly line in response to improving market conditions, while it also celebrates 40 years of manufacturing front discharge mixer trucks.

The company recently received an initial order for 65 new trucks from a ready mix concrete producer operating in multiple Midwestern states. Terex's Fort Wayne, Ind., plant has not been focused on new truck manufacturing since late 2011, the company says.

According to Eric Parent, human resources manager for Terex Roadbuilding, the plant will be hiring new employees in welding, assembly, engineering, and support. The number of new employees was not disclosed.
