Terex Acquires Refurbishment Facility California

Redmond, WA— Terex Aerial Work Platforms has acquired assets of a refurbishment facility owned by United Rentals in Modesto, CA.

The facility will cater to customers with refurbishment needs of Genie aerial equipment, and at a later date, Terex equipment as well.

"Our customers are increasingly expressing a need to refurbish assets. This refurbishment center in Modesto will establish us in close proximity to significant installed bases for units in California, Nevada, Oregon, and Arizona," said Tim Ford, president of Terex AWP.

The Modesto refurbishment center has been in business for 10 years, primarily refurbishing United Rentals' aerial fleet. Terex AWP will employ the 32 experienced team members at the facility. The branch manager is John McPhedran.
