Taxes Stall US Roads Bill

As Congress remains divided over gasoline tax increases, the fate of a long-term highway bill remains unknown, according to Bloomberg.

The bipartisan opposition to raising the gas tax to fund transportation projects for six years halted the proposals in 2012. A compromise was reached, using general tax revenue to fund highway projects, but the measure expires in September 2014.
