They will construct an underground drainage structure and frontage road on the north side of I-44 from Riverside Drive to just west of Yorktown Avenue This construction phase, expected to begin in early 2009, will build a 1.25-mile-long concrete drainage structure 30 feet underground in the Perryman Ditch area. This will serve as a major drainage structure for this entire Riverside Drive to Yale Avenue corridor, and must preclude any widening work on I-44. Incentives are in place to expedite the work of the 22-month-long project.
