PB Napa Bridge Project And New Lead Engineer

Napa, CA— Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) has been awarded a contract by the city of Napa to provide construction management services for the construction of the First Street Bridge over the Napa River.

The project, the last of four bridges to be built by the city of Napa as part of a Napa County flood control effort, involves removal of an existing 1914 bridge and construction of a new T-beam bridge at First Street. As the overall construction manager for the project, PB will serve as the main point of contact for the city of Napa. Construction is scheduled for completion in late 2009.

Also, T. Arzu Kurkoglu has been named a lead engineer in the San Diego, CA, office of Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB), a global infrastructure strategic consulting, engineering and program/construction management organization.

Kurkoglu has over eight years of experience in transit and general civil design. Notable projects she has been a part of in the San Diego area are the Sprinter Rail Line and Park to Bay Link Phase II. In her new position she will be leading the design efforts for the Midcoast Corridor Transit project and roadway improvements of the San Marcos Creek Specific Plan Phase 1 project.
