Navistar Shuts Down Indianapolis Foundry

July 7, 2015

Navistar ended operations at its Indianapolis foundry, which previously produced engine blocks and heads for MaxxForce engines, reports Transport Topics.

Navistar said it expected to eliminate 160 of the 180 jobs at the foundry, and reduce annual operating costs by approximately $13 million.

The remaining 20 employees will continue work at a used reconditioning center run by Navistar on the foundry site.
