NationsRent is shifting from a strictly rental operation to become a provider of product support, merchandise, parts and sales. In March, the company became a factory-authorized dealer of three different product lines in three different regions.
March 1 - LBX appoints NationsRent as a distributor of Link-Belt excavators and material-handling equipment in Florida.
March 7 - CNH names NationsRent a Case Construction Equipment dealer for most of Massachusetts, all of Rhode Island, and most of Connecticut.
March 22 - NationsRent announces that it had been appointed an authorized dealer of Sullivan-Palatek's portable air compressor division for the states of Texas and Louisiana.
Commenting on the Sullivan-Palatek appointment, "We plan to continue to grow and expand our sales and service offerings throughout 2005," says Jeff Putman, NationsRent CEO. "And the dealership sales model fits nicely into those plans."
