Modustri, maker of analytics solutions for large scale deployments, announced the launch of a global wear part and machine management platform for heavy duty equipment with Caterpillar.
The Cat Wear Management System is now available to Caterpillar's dealer network worldwide and features tools that will enhance the dealers' abilities to measure wear on parts, optimize machine fleets more effectively, forecast parts needs, and maximize maintenance and service performance.
"Through our joint effort with Caterpillar, we're able to combine the power of web-based and mobile experiences with our ground-breaking hardware technology to deliver a platform that completes and amplifies wear part and machine management across the dealership," said David Hamady, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, who recently joined Modustri and brings 20 years of advanced technology and solutions sales experience.
"Dealers are no longer confined to relying on silos of field inspections, and manual quoting and forecasting processes. Our strategic alliance with Caterpillar has created a platform that will revolutionize the industry by providing dealers and Caterpillar the ability to utilize data efficiently, lowering the cost to serve, increase customer experience, and maximizing asset uptime."
As Modustri brings this joint solution to industries beyond heavy equipment manufacturing, it is aiming to help companies gather and deliver data in a concise, meaningful way so it's easier for them to identify new opportunities for efficiencies, automating processes, and monitoring activities.
Modustri has a unique approach to accessing and presenting data in creative and scalable ways that brings maximum business value. Caterpillar recognized this early on and as a result created a strategic alliance with Modustri to create a solution that can be deployed in the field. With pilots beginning in Q1 2017 across several industries, Modustri will further deploy the global wear part and machine management platform to collect data and drive actionable insights for manufacturing, heavy equipment (mining & general construction), energy, retail, and transportation industries across all geographies.
