February 8, 2017

Miami-Dade Police report a car from the city's elevated transportation system collided with a crane lift around 1 a.m. this morning, throwing two workers from the basket. 43-year-old Oscar Cabrera fell to the ground while the second worker, Luis Perez, was dangling from his harness.

“When paramedics arrived, we found numerous construction workers on the ground tending to their co-workers,” said Miami Fire Rescue Captain Ignatius Carroll. “One was in extremely critical condition. We had to perform CPR on him and transport him to Ryder Trauma Center.”
