California's Port of Long Beach has approved a $942 million budget that includes $742 million for work on the Middle Harbor Terminal project and replacement of the Gerald Desmond Bridge.

An estimated $4.4 billion may be invested in the coming years, according to port authorities quoted in the Riverside, Calif., Press-Enterprise.
