Leica total stationLeica has upgraded the TPS400, TPS700 and TPS800 Total Stations with electronic-distance measuring (EDM) technology. Leica introduced PinPoint EDM in 2005 with the System 1200 Series. PinPoint features a narrow, visible laser beam that allows surveyors to measure distances to curved surfaces, corners and inaccessible points. It is available in two versions: R100 with a range to 656 feet and R300 with a ranger over 1,640 feet. PinPoint and the three upgraded total stations have Direct.dxt functionality, which allows data to be directly exported in dxt format into AutoCAD on a PC.
