Kubota Tractor Corp. has entered the stand-on track loader market with the SCL1000, designed, says the company, with wide tracks, narrow body, and a rated operating capacity of 1,000 pounds.
The Kubota SCL1000, with an overall width of 36 inches, features a standard 9.8-inch track. The integrated track design, says Kubota, is engineered for durability, with the undercarriage welded to the mainframe of the body. The grease-type track-tension design includes sealed oil-bath rollers for reduced maintenance and greater durability, says the company. The wide-track design, with a ground-pressure rating of 4.0 psi, is low impact and minimizes damage to grass and landscaping.
Kubota SCL1000 Specs
The Kubota SCL1000 uses a 24.8-horsepower Kubota diesel engine, capable of high-altitude operation and using no diesel particulate filter. The unit’s hydraulic pump, directly connected to the engine, reduces maintenance, says Kubota, and the loader arms have a hinge pin height of 84.7 inches and a reach of 25.9 inches at a 45-degree dump angle. Top travel speed is 5.1 miles.
Boom cylinders are cushioned, and an adjustable platform-suspension system is designed to smooth the ride for the operator. Other features include keyless start with pass-code protection, 12-volt charging port, and 4.3-inch LCD color dash monitor that provides consolidated machine monitoring. The Kubota SCL1000 will be available at select authorized Kubota dealers in the second half of 2020.
