Kubota announced today that it will introduce two skid steer loader models, the SSV65 and SSV75, in 2015.
This will be the company's first foray into the skid steer loader market, and follows its launch of compact track loaders into North America in 2010. The two "hand-and-foot-control" skid steers will offer standard two-speed travel and optional high-flow hydraulics, and are aimed at the construction, rental, and agriculture segments. Other features include an overhead front door, multi-function handles for high-flow machines, and a side lighting package.
Kubota officials hinted that two pilot-control skid steer loaders could follow in two years' time, and that the compay is also considering entries on the ends of the traditional skid steer power band, at 50 and 90 horsepower.
