Komatsu Recognized for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction

In its Global 500 Climate Change Report 2013, the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) ranked Komatsu's performance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the manufacturing and supply chain processes as one of the world's leading companies.

CDP analyzes and evaluates corporate efforts and performance of the world's 500 largest companies to tackle global climate change. Specifically, CDP evaluates corporate information disclosures on a scale of 100 points, and corporate performance in the five grades of A, B, C, D and E.

Komatsu received 95 points in the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index and “A” in the Climate Performance Leadership Index. Komatsu was the only Japanese company that was ranked "A" in the Industrial sector.

CDP is the world's largest program being used to evaluate corporate engagement in global climate change.
