Komatsu GD655-5 Motor Grader

A completely new power train design in Komatsu’s GD655-5 motor grader includes a Tier 3, 218-horsepower engine positioned at the rear of the machine. Weight has been increased to 35,351 pounds, 8 percent more than the previous model. Three-stage engine system offers three levels of power from gear one to gear eight for a 20-percent savings in fuel consumption over the previous model. Dual-mode power shift transmission was designed and built specifically for Komatsu graders. Redesigned cab is 21 percent larger for increased visibility and comfort.
