Oct. 21, 2010

New line of D65-16 crawler dozers have been upgraded with Tier 3 engines with 205 horsepower. Operating weights range from 43,690 to 48,940 pounds depending on version: standard (EX), low-ground pressure (PX), or wide track (WX). Dozers have Komatsu’s Sigma-dozer blade, with a new 6-way power angle tilt blade available. New automatic transmission with lock up torque converter reduces fuel consumption. Lockup mechanics of the torque converter automatically transfers engine power directly to the transmission, reducing fuel consumption by up to 10 percent.
