Komatsu’s Short-Tail-Swing ExcavatorWith an operating weight between 31,107 and 32,568 pounds, Komatsu’s PC138USLC-8 short-tail-swing excavator offers more lifting capacity than the PC120LC-6 conventional excavator, while reducing the tailswing radius by 27 percent. The new machine boasts a 7-inch, multi-function color monitor with a Power Mode, Economy Mode, Lifting Mode, Breaker Operation, and Attachment Mode. It also displays the automatic air conditioner, machine maintenance, and images from the counterweight camera. Other improvements include a new SAA4D95LE-5 common rail injection engine; redesigned cab; improved hydraulics; and high-pressure, in-line filters for hydraulic-system protection. The excavator also comes with Equipment Management Monitoring System and Komtrax technology.
