KomatsuMajor engine-power increases and fuel-consumption decreases boost performance of the WA450-5 and WA480-5 wheel loaders. Engine torque has been increased 19 and 23 percent, respectively. Fuel consumption has been reduced 15 percent. The units feature two engine-operating modes as well as a comprehensive monitoring system that displays 38 machine functions. Four forward and four reverse gears permit travel speeds of 21.7 mph in forward and 22.4 mph in reverse. Cab size is 18 percent larger than the predecessors.
