Swing torque on the new machine has also been increased by 10 percent. The 57,300-pound machine digs to 23 feet and reaches 33 feet 3 inches at surface level. Kobelco’s auto-acceleration system increases engine speed and hydraulic flow in proportion to the operator’s movement of the control levers, resulting in even acceleration. A power-mode system with four modes also includes power boost, which provides a 10-percent power increase on command, without time limits.
