Updated 524K-II, 544K-II, and 624K-II wheel loaders have improved fuel economy

October 20, 2016

Updated 524K-II, 544K-II, and 624K-II wheel loaders have improved fuel economy of up to 10 percent with Tier 4-Final John Deere PowerTech engines delivering 130, 163, and 186 horsepower, respectively.

Engine rpm is reduced during high fuel-usage operations, and excavator-style hydraulics sense loads to deliver flow where needed. Increased hydraulic pump displacement accommodates lower engine speeds. Brake retractors reduce engine drag to improve overall axle life.
