JCB plans to develop its own 4- and 6-liter diesel engines in partnership with engine specialists Ricardo, AVL, Cosworth and Krause.

According to JCB's chairman and managing director, Sir Anthony Bamford, the company's new engines will provide higher performance than existing engines and comply with future worldwide emissions requirements.
